State Institution “Dnipropetrovsk Medical Academy of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” was established on 15th Sep 1916 and is considered to be one of the leading educational establishments in Ukraine.
It was established to provide higher education courses to women. Dnipropetrovsk Medical Institute is one of the oldest institutes bestowed with the highest level of accreditation in Ukraine (IV)
Dnipropetrovsk medical academy of Health Ministry of Ukraine» provides guaranteed accommodation to all foreign students who receive an offer to study at DMA. The academy provides several accommodation options for the students in the hostels. DMA has 7 comfortable hostels located in different regions of the city, which are well connected by advanced transport infrastructure (bus, tramway, and trolley-bus). The hostels have a total area of 45422 sq. m. and can accommodate 2768 students. Foreign students live in hostels No 1, 5, and 7.
The hostel buildings have a modern architectural design and consist of rooms for 2-3 students with all the necessary amenities for each such as a bed, a desk and a chair, cold and hot running water, central heating, Internet access, and suitable lighting for both study and relaxation. All the hostels are protected and patrolled by security guards. In the hostel, each room has access to the kitchen and if needed, students are allowed to cook their own food, however, students will need to use their own utensils for cooking.
Meals and provisions may also be purchased from various shops and supermarkets nearby the hostels. Moreover, there are several students’ canteens and cafes on the university campus which provide more eating options to the students.
Living in a hostel provides the benefits of staying close to the academic building which implies quick access to programs and services that help in developing academically besides affordable and comfortable living.
Off-campus accommodation can be obtained in nearby areas. Available apartments and houses are furnished and vary in size, amenities, and cost.
From education to accommodation to other related matters students always receive helps from the deans, their assistants, and the curators who attend dormitories, take an active part in holding meetings and educational conversations with the students. Annually competitions are held for the best room, the best floor in the hostel’s awards where winners receive valuable prizes.
The eligibility criteria for MBBS in Ukraine for Indian students are as follows:
Age limits for admission – 17 years to 25 years.
Students must complete 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) from a regular board of India or abroad.
Students that studied under open board or correspondence classes are not eligible.
Minimum 50% combined aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
NEET qualification (with a 50% score for the general un-reserved category) is a must if the student intends to practice in India after the MBBS study in Ukraine
